I’M SO TIRED OF MOTHER FUCKERS asking “Where do you get your protein?” All you simple minded bastards better read up some. I eat shit like whole grains, beans, nuts, lentils, tempeh… I mean hell, where the fuck are YOU getting your protein? Black beans are one of my favorite protein sources for sure. The insoluble fiber these are packing keeps the body feeling full while holding calories down low. But hold up, this shit also has soluble fiber to regulate the fuck out of your glucose levels. So eat more black beans and sign some fucking autographs.

Black Bean and Cilantro Pesto Wrap

1 large bunch of cilantro, chopped, about 2 cups

2/3 cup slivered almonds

2-3 cloves of garlic, chopped

1 tablespoon lemon juice

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon lemon zest (just grate the skin of the lemon on the smallest side of your grater, calm the fuck down)

¼ cup olive oil

¼ cup vegetable broth or water

Put all the ingredients for the pesto in a food processor and blend until sorta smooth. No food processor? Before I had one I’d just put the almonds in a bag and smash them until they are tiny and chop the rest of that shit up super small too. Mix all of it together with a fork until it looks like a paste.

This recipe makes about 1 cup of goddamn delicious pesto. I like about ¼ cup of it for every 1 ½ cups of beans. For the lazy bastards, one 15-ounce can of black beans is about 1 ½ cups. Just mix the beans together with the pesto and wrap that shit up with whatever vegetables you have like: cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, lettuce, avocado, corn, you get the fucking idea. Add salsa or lime juice if you want. I don’t give a fuck.

Put an assumption in my ask. I’ll confirm or dispute it. I’m not gonna be mean or anything, I’m just very interested.

hey! i love your tumblr its super motivating! :D I've just started to get back into running on the treadmill and i was wondering if wearing a sports bra was REALLY important.. because i don't have one at the moment. so is it essential?? thank you in advance :)

Thanks love! That means a lot to me <3

Sports bras are actually pretty darn important.

  • They keep your boobies from bouncing around and hurting (breast size does not effect bounce) - shock absorbers
  • Reduce stress on Cooper’s ligament (ligament that holds your boobies up) from slacking faster than they would with natural age
  • Therefore, make sure your breasts don’t overly sag over time
  • Failing to wear one can lead to permanent breast damage regardless of size
  • They absorb sweat to keep you comfortable and dry
  • Save your from upper back pain
  • Save you from shoulder problems.

So hopefully that enough reason to get your butt in the store and your boobies in a bra :)

Hello! I really enjoy reading your blog and its has been so great at posting posts that always motivates me! And what I wan to ask is that what type of milk is the best?i know there are different type of milks but I'm really unsure which type should I get,and is it possible to gain weight just because you have been binging and stuffing yourself with food in a week? Like eating 6 meals a day! And what type of bread are the best?? And so sorry for asking you so much question at once! I'm so lost!

I’m actually not a fan of milk in general. It’s not as good for you as the milk commercials want you to believe, but you don’t want to get me started with that. I can go on and on about milk and why I don’t like it and the dairy industry and blah blah blah, but I’ll just stick to the basics of health reasons for now. There have been recent studies that have actually come to the conclusion that milk may in fact be harmful to your body… again recent so always take with a grain of salt. However, I know you don’t absolutely need milk. You can get your calcium elsewhere and those recent studies have shown that milk may actually deplete your bones of calcium because milk acidifies the body’s pH and calcium neutralizes it. Therefore, your body is taking calcium form your bones to neutralize the acidifying effect milk has. Again, you can look up the studies for yourself, but I just think that it’s best to get your calcium elsewhere. (collards, spinach, turnip greens, blackeye peas, kale, soy beans, cabbage, okra, beans, leafy greens, etc). I personally drink flaxmilk. Tastes like milk. No soy. No dairy. Rich in Omega 3. Can’t go wrong :) Except that it’s a little on the $$ side, but I think it’s worth it.

As for the binging, if you have one binge episode, it doesn’t do too much damage. However, too much of anything isn’t good for you. Binging and stuffing for an entire week? Yes, it is possible to gain weight from that. Those calories do add up, even if you are working out, you still probably aren’t burning off nearly enough to compensate for everything you’ve eaten if it was a true binge all week. You wont gain a shit ton of weight, but it does make a difference. Moderation. Moderation. Moderation. Don’t believe it when they tell you “you can’t have too much of a good thing” cause you can :/ Eat healthy and your body will take care of itself. Now, eating 6 meals a day isn’t binging if they are small meals. That’s perfectly fine. I eat about 5 small meals a day myself.

As for bread, you should be trying to get most of your carbs from fruits and veggies, but don’t we all just love our bread? :) If you have to choose between white, wheat, sourdough or rye, I would go between whole wheat and rye. Keep an eye out for that fiber. 3-5g of fiber is really good for bread.<3

I don’t mind all the questions at all! ASK AWAY!! :D
